We all know that the money is in the list, but sending out the emails can get expensive when your list starts to grow too large. What’s worse is when the list has become outdated, the service providers ban you as a spammer, as you receive too many hard bounces. We came upon this problem but worked around it using the gmail smtp server.
How did we do it?
Each Gmail account allows you to send up to 100 emails a day through their smpt server. So we created a java program that can read in 1000 addresses and send them through different gmail accounts. It can actually read in an unlimited number of addresses, but as we only have 10 gmail accounts, we are limited to 1000 emails a day.
You might be wondering why we don’t just log into the different accounts and cc 500 people, reason is we tried that and gmail accused us of spamming. Using the java program sends out individual emails rather than cc or bcc. It’s also a lot faster and less bothersome than logging into the individual gmail accounts.
If you would like a copy of the program, sign up for our newsletter and then drop us an email and we’ll be happy to share the CleanMail program with you.
Please note we cannot condone spamming, the program is intended to help you send free emails, not help you spam!
